Walnut, Calif. – ViewSonic said Wednesday it is adding touch technology to a 22-inch LED optical HD display monitor.
Model TD2220, which is targeted at commercial, high traffic and consumer environments, is equipped with dual point optical touch technology and a hardened 8H level scratch resistant surface for touch interaction.
The ViewSonic monitor, which will ship the third week of October at a $329 estimated selling price, features a USB HID compliant design for automatic touch functionality via USB connection under Windows operating systems.
Other features in the monitor include: Full HD 1080p resolution, a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, Energy Star and EPEAT Silver certification, and SRS Premium Sound.
Paired with multiple video sources (DVI with HDCP and VGA inputs), and a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, the TD2220 delivers an immersive viewing experience that is ideal for blur-freevideo and sharp business graphics.
“The TD2220 is designed to serve the needs of commercial verticals such as kiosk and information desks where touch functionality is required, as well as for consumers who want a touch-enabled display,” stated Erik Willey, ViewSonic LCD monitor and PC product marketing director. “This is because of the TD2220’s dual point optical touch technology, which offers a highly accurate touch experience. Paired with its superior performance and durable 8H surface, this display will stand up to most any high traffic environment.”
The TD2220 also includes integrated speakers, dual USB ports, VESA mountable design, a 3-year limited warranty and ViewSonic’s strongest pixel performance guarantee.
