Morgan Hill, Calif. — Om Audio launched its brand and its first product this week, the Inearpeace in-ear monitor.
The Inearpeace features the company’s two-way driver technology, which has a balanced-armature driver and a 10mm coiled bass driver. The pressure-relief design of the monitors is meant to reduce wearing “fatigue.” Frequency response is listed at 20Hz to 20kHz, with impedance of 118dB and sensitivity of 101dB at 1kHz.
Other features include a tangle-free cable, in-line mic and controls, and a $149 price tag. They will come in black or white, and will be sold at OneCall.com and through
Om Audio was founded by Devon Bergman and Dave Devillez, both of whom hail from Velodyne. It currently employs five people. A spokesman said the company is planning to introduce an on-ear headset and a Bluetooth product before the end of the year.
