The retailer has also added a tablet-specific website tied to both the toy chain and Babies “R” Us.

Some of the app improvements include allowing customers to buy online, utilize in-store pickup and ship to store from their mobile device. Customers will now have a unified shopping cart for both the Babies and Toys stores.

The mobile interface has been updated, making it easier for customers to browse and read product reviews, the company said. Shoppers also gain access to the weekly deals for their area and a barcode/QR scanner to quickly obtain product details.
