Irvine, Calif. — Toshiba America Electronic Components has expanded its line of Exceria memory cards to include MicroSDHC versions.
The Exceria cards are compliant with the UHS-I Memory Card Standard (maximum bus transfer rate from 25MBps to 104MBps). The minimum recording speed is compliant with UHS speed class 1 (minimum read and write speed of 10MBps) and SD speed class 10 (minimum read and write speed of 10MBps).
The first MicroSDHC Exceria cards to be introduced will be the water-resistant Type HD series, designed for use in extreme conditions.
The HD series cards have a maximum read speed of 95MBps and a maximum write speed of 30MBps. The first models will be available in the fourth quarter, with capacities from 8GB to 32GB.
Pricing will be announced closer to the availability date.
