Chicago — Toddy Gear announced it’s moving all manufacturing to the U.S. from China.
Beginning Feb. 1, Toddy Gear will manufacture its Smart Cloth, Wedge and other products at a Chicago location. Company founder Todd Gabel is from the area, and the company’s offices are based there as well.
The move will provide better speed to market for products, and those in the promotional product industry will experience a decreased lead time and improved product quality, Toddy Gear said.
When asked about the number of jobs it’s expected to create, a spokesperson told TWICE: “Moving manufacturing back to the U.S. has already brought 15 jobs back to the U.S. We expect to grow this number quickly, since manufacturing in the U.S. allows us to meet the markets demand for flexibility, control our costs and put us in a position of growth.”
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
