Santa Fe Springs, Calif. – DIY security supplier Swann will introduce later today its Doorphone 870, a color video camera/doorbell system.
The 870 has a 3.5-inch LCD screen that provides a 60-degree viewing angle for monitoring the entrance to a home with color video and two-way audio communication when the doorbell button is pushed.
The camera features night and low light viewing up to 13 feet. It mounts easily to a door, the company said, and runs off a rechargeable lithium polymer battery.
The Doorphone 870 systems ships with the outdoor camera, LCD monitor, mounting brackets, screws and hardware, operating instructions and four theft deterrent stickers for an added level of home protection.
It will initially be available for a suggested retail of $149.99 at Amazon, Fry's, Tiger Direct and B&H Photo & Video.
