Las Vegas — StickNFind will be in the iLounge Pavilion at International CES next week demonstrating its BluTracker, a Bluetooth 4.0 GPS locator with a half-mile range that works with a free iPhone or Android app.
The device is the size of a matchbook, with an RF signal and integrated antenna, and comes with a Velcro strap, which allows it to tuck away in small places such as on a pet collar, in a backpack or a child's pocket, the company said. It is water-resistant and has up to two months of battery life between charges. It recharges fully in about an hour.
The app pinpoints the location of the BluTracker on an interactive map on the user's device's screen. The map displays the user's device as a blue dot and the BluTracker as a red dot. Users can create a Virtual Fence around an area by drawing a circle on the app and receive notification if the BluTracker moves outside the defined area.
It also acts as a motion detector, sending an alert when the device moves, and then tracks the movement, which allows it to be used as a virtual alarm system for a locked bike or parked vehicle, for example.
There are no monthly fees associated with the BluTracker app.
BluTracker can be seen in booth 3731.
