Sound United Sets New Channel-Based Retail Plan

Vista, Calif. — Sound United, a division of DEI Holdings that operates the Definitive Technology, Polk and Boom brands, has announced a new channel-based retail sales strategy.

Effective May 1, Dave Peet, Definitive Technology executive VP, assumes the newly created role of executive VP of Sound United.

In this expanded role, Peet will manage products and programs necessary to drive growth within this important channel, the company said.

“As our audio brands continue to evolve, it is imperative for us to take a fresh look at how we support our retail partners,” said Randy Waynick, chief sales officer of Sound United. “Our new sales model will leverage past learnings and ultimately, provide a stronger business environment. By investing more time and efforts in the Audio Specialty channel, we’ll provide increased accessibility as well as improved communication and service to national and regional accounts.”

Peet brings more than 20 years of experience in retail CE, working in sales, management, training, merchandising and buying for both small and regional A/V specialists.

Peet has also held roles as international sales VP in 2005 with Definitive Technology. He will work collaboratively with Sound United’s channel partners to help increase sales, engage consumers and continue to solidify Definitive Technology, Polk and Boom as leaders in the audio category.
