Indianapolis - Silicon Image is at CEDIA Expo showing a variety of connectivity solutions for mobile, DTV and home theater applications.

On display is Silicon Image's InstaPrevue technology, what the company is calling "the next evolution in HDMI fast switching technology." The technology provides live picture-in-picture thumbnail views of what is playing on each HDMI port, taking the guesswork out of switching between HDMI sources. To change HDMI sources, a user highlights and selects the desired thumbnail view using the TV's remote control.

The company is also demonstrating it Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) cable that allows a user to connect an MHL-enabled tablet or smartphone to an HDTV and view photos, apps and movies in full HD on the TV screen while charging the mobile device.

Silicon is exhibiting at booth 4683 where Payam Kermani, senior product marketing manager, is available for product demonstrations today, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
