Sanus Debuts High-End Furniture Line

Denver — Sanus has introduced a high-end home-theater furniture line at CEDIA Expo.

The new Cadenza collection includes two flat-panel media consoles and one A/V media cabinet “inspired by the simple and functional elegance of Scandinavian design,” the company said, “combining clean lines and a rich palette of natural materials with high-performance features” to appeal to designers, homeowners and integrators.

 Developed in collaboration with professional A/V integrators, the Cadenza line is geared toward high-end home theater components. The pieces includes wood rack mount shelves and hidden rack rails, built-in cable-management channels and hidden compartments for accessories.

To combat component overheating, the pieces feature built-in ventilation on each internal shelf and each removable back panel with room for added cooling fans.

 The three Cadenza designs can hide a complete rack-mounted system within and allows for hidden storage to conceal repeaters, control processors, streaming media players, routers and other small components and accessories. A flat-panel television can be placed on top of the two flat-panel media consoles, or it can be paired with one of Sanus’ new Premium Mount solutions, also on display at the company’s booth, 2010.

On display are:

  • the Cadenza53 ($1,199 suggested retail), a 53-inch A/V cabinet with three adjustable wood rack mount shelves, each supporting up to 200 pounds;
  • the Cadenza61 ($1,499) 61-inch media console with two adjustable wood rack-mount shelves for flat-panel TVs up to 70 inches and up to 150 pounds, and a center-channel speaker opening with configuration options to handle  sound bars or left/center/right speaker systems (LRCs) up to 59 inches wide, in multiple height options; and
  •  the Cadenza75 ($1,799) 75-inch media console with two adjustable wood rack-mount shelves for TVs up to 80 inches and up to 150 pounds, with an extra-large center-channel speaker opening for soundbars or LCRs up to 73 inches wide.

 “We’re so pleased to showcase this new and advanced line at CEDIA Expo. We strongly believe the Cadenza Collection meets the needs and desires of professional installers and audiophiles alike,” said Steve Frank, product management director. “We’ve combined professional integrator expertise with our in-house design team to allow for the simplicity of rack mounting inside high-quality furniture that looks custom-built.”

 Visitors to the booth can see a Cadenza media console equipped with the Sanus EcoSystem power solution. It features switchable and always-on low-voltage ports, LED lighting, USB-charging ports and a thermostat kit to monitor rack temperature and activate fans.

Cadenza pieces are available in walnut or American ash hardwood and come fully assembled. Doors are interchangeable, allowing consumers to switch from solid wood to open metal mesh.
