Mahwah, N.J. — Sharp Electronics Marketing Company of America (SEMCA) announced three executive promotions on Monday.
Jim Sanduski, formerly strategic product marketing VP, advances to strategic marketing senior VP. In an email to all SEMCA staff, John Herrington, SEMCA president, said, “Jim has demonstrated strong leadership and collaboration with his team, colleagues and headquarters. He consistently puts the company first, focuses on profitable results for the business, and is focused on team-based solutions for the company and our customers.”
Vishnu Rao, formerly smart TV platform associate director, has been promoted to product technology development director. In his new role, Rao will lead SEMCA’s connected strategy and smart platform development, including being the primary point of contact for next-generation technology for home entertainment products.
Herrington said via staff email: “Vishnu brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the position from his years at Sharp Labs of America to his direct involvement and collaboration with Tochigi-based product management and development.”
Palma Florio, formerly marketing administration senior manager, advances to finance director.
Florio will be responsible for all financial leadership for the SEMCA organization. Noted Herrington: “Palma has demonstrated high competency in financial management and has been instrumental in improving financial performance visibility and driving important process improvement initiatives for SEMCA.”
