Ridgefield Park, N.J. — Samsung introduced Tuesday a fisheye lens for its NX series of mirrorless compact system cameras.
The Samsung 10mm F3.5 fisheye lens is billed as the smallest AF fisheye lens on the market. It offers a super-wide-angle perspective and is half the size and weight of its competitors for easier transport, Samsung said.
Pricing and availability were not announced.
The lens features an expanded field of view that is well suited to landscapes and sky shots.
It also enables a myriad creative and unusual portrait images, producing interesting effects.
The 10mm F3.5 fisheye weighs 2.5 ounces and comes in white or black.
Samsung’s AF system in the lens offers silent operation, and comes with a number of iScene options, including Beauty Shot, Portrait, Night, Backlight, Children and Sports.
