San Jose, Calif. - BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) offered up more details about its BlackBerry 10 smartphone OS, including the BlackBerry Flow user interface that lets users scroll between apps.

RIM plans to launch phones using the new OS early next year. The phones will include touchscreen-only models and models with hard QWERTY keyboard.

The OS will also feature BlackBerry Peek, which lets users look at a second application without leaving an application that is already running. Another feature, called BlackBerry Hub, combines multiple inboxes and messages, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn messages. The company also said Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and foursquare will offer native BlackBerry 10 apps.

In addition to offering a new smartphone OS, the company announced plans next month to begin selling movies, TV shows and music through its App World storefront.
