Denver — RedSeat Entertainment is traveling to CEDIA Expo, held here this week, to introduce a line of custom chairs with vibration enhancements.
The Tremor FX Home line is designed to provide seat vibrations for home-theater and gaming environments.
The vibrations pulsate in response to an individual soundtrack through a series of actuators built within each seat, the company said. An audio processing engine and wireless transmitter then synchronizes the vibrations with the onscreen action via an HDMI connection.
The technology can also be used with other furniture manufacturers, RedSeat noted.
A four-chair setup with built-in actuators and individual controls will start at $20,000.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
