The XDJ-Aero can also act a WAP.

The XDJ-Aero is engineered to wirelessly play tracks from smartphones, tablets and laptops using a mobile app or the company’s Rekordbox software. Users can mix and arrange tracks stored on their devices via Wi-Fi, as well as on USB memory devices and computers via included DJ software.

The XDJ-Aero can also create its own wireless access point when Wi-Fi isn’t available or not in range, Pioneer said. The app reportedly allows up to four devices to be identified as sources for playback.

Other features of the XDJ-Aero include audio ports for connecting other sources, a built-in jog control, audio effects, blue and white LED illumination and two automatic mix functions. Mixes can be stored as WAV files directly to USB devices.

It will ship this month for a $1,399 suggested retail.
