Denver — Pentax Ricoh Imaging is celebrating national photo month this month by issuing a range of products promotions, price drops and consumer instant rebates on Pentax interchangeable-lens cameras, compact cameras and lenses.
Photographers can save $100 with an instant rebate on the purchase of the Pentax K-5 II DSLR body or kit this month or the weather-sealed, cold-proof and dust-proof K-30 DSLR body or kit now through June.
In addition, purchases of any current Pentax K-mount camera body or kit will receive instant rebates on the following Pentrax lenses: DA 35mm F2.4 ($70 instant rebate); DA 50mm F1.8 ($130 instant rebate); Pentax DA 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 ($200 instant rebate); and the Pentax D FA 50mm F2.8 macro ($150 instant rebate).
The rebates are valid from May 1 through July 31.
Pentax also issued a $50 instant rebate for the DA 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED WR, running through the month of June 2013.
A $50 instant rebate is also available in for the purchase of the MX-1 advanced compact in May, as well as for the WG-3 and WG-3 GPS rugged cameras (May and June, respectively).
Beginning May 1, the price of the medium format 645D will drop from $8,799, to $6,999.
The price of the Pentax Q10 has been reduced from $599, to $499, and the Pentax X-5 bridge camera is reduced from $279, to $229.
