Petaluma, Calif. – Core Brands tapped Matt Dever, formerly with THX and Pioneer, as audio segment marketing manager.
At THX, Dever was senior director of sales, responsible for overseeing licensing and certification programs for the company’s automotive, cinema, consumer electronics and education divisions.
Before that, Dever was with Pioneer Electronics for 20 years. His final position there was VP of Pioneer’s professional sound and visual division, where he focused heavily on the DJ and electronic signage markets. Previously, he was responsible for product planning, marketing and sales for all Pioneer and Pioneer Elite audio and video products in all channels of distribution.
Mitch Witten, product marketing director of Core Brand’s audio segment, said Dever “will help us step up our game to market our multiple audio brands.” He cited Dever’s “deep category experience” and skill set.
Core Brands, a company within Nortek’s Technology Solutions Segment, markets 12 audio, power management and control brands. The brands are ATON, BlueBOLT, ELAN, Emphasys, Furman, Korus , Niles, Panamax, Proficient, SpeakerCraft, Sunfire and Xantech.
