Columbus, Ohio — Micro Center is giving away an 84-inch LG Ultra High-Definition TV to herald the arrival of the 4K models at the multiregional chain.

As part of its national “Big, Bigger, Biggest Ever LG HDTV Sweepstakes,” the 23-store IT and A/V specialist will award one LG 84LM9600 Ultra HD 3D smart TV, valued at $17,000. The chain is also giving away more than $30,000 worth of prizes, including 32-inch LG HDTVs, LG home theaters and Micro Center gift cards, as a lead up to the grand prize.

Customers can register for the sweepstakes on Micro Center’s Facebook page and at its stores.

“Micro Center is already customers’ preferred bricks-and-mortar source for computers and new tech products,” said marketing VP Mike Papai. “Our goal with our 84-inch 3D UHD-TV promotion is to cement in customers’ minds that we offer a huge selection of TVs in all price bands but with a strong focus on the most technologically advanced televisions.”

Founded in 1979, privately held Micro Center operates stores in major markets across the country, and prides itself on a rich, brick-and-mortar store shopping experience that includes “logical” store layouts, free in-store technical support, highly trained and knowledgeable sales associates, and a wait time for web-order pickups of just 18 minutes.
