Santa Clara, Calif. – Magellan expanded its selection of PNDs for RV users with the line’s first 5-inch model, which is targeted to RVs with smaller dashes.
The RoadMate RV5365T-LMB will be available in January at a suggested $299 through Magellan's consumer electronics and online retailers. It will join the company’s 7-inch RV selection, which was expanded in May.
The new model is designed for Class B and Class C RVs and for people who tow recreational vehicles, such as fifth-wheel trailers or boats, the company said. With the RV5365T-LMB, users can input their vehicle's dimensions, vehicle type, hazmat materials, and navigational preferences to devise the best route to a destination.

Features include spoken street names, free lifetime map updates, free lifetime traffic alerts and such safety features a Bluetooth hands-free and compatibility with Magellan's wireless back-up camera.

Next Turn shows drivers what lane to stay in or enter when approaching the next turning location. Landmark Guidance tells drivers to turn at familiar landmarks such as gas stations, stores and the like instead of at street names.
