LG Expands Nexus 5 Color Choices

San Francisco – The LG-made Nexus 5 became the first Nexus smartphone available from Google in three colors.

Google added a red version of the Android 4.4 smartphone to join black and white versions.

Google sells the LTE handset unlocked and direct to consumers through Google Play for use on the AT&T and T-Mobile networks. The price is $349 for the 16GB version and $399 for the 32GB version.

The handset launched last October and is also available through Sprint and T-Mobile channels.

Features include 4.95-inch FullHD IPS display with 445 ppi and in-cell touch technology, said to enable faster touch recognition, better outdoor visibility and crisper images. The device also features 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB RAM, 8-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, and 1.3-megapixel HD front camera.
