Marlboro, N.J. –KEF will soon add its name to the short list of companies offering THX-certified architectural speakers.
The company said it is developing a complete line of THX Ultra2-certified in-wall and in-ceiling speakers and an in-wall subwoofer. Certification testing is underway, a spokesman said. More details will be announced during the CEDIA Expo.
Currently, at least two other companies – Klipsch and Atlantic Technology – offer THX-certified architectural speakers. Klipsch offers six models, and Atlantic offers four.
With the planned launch, KEF will be offering THX-certified speakers for the first time in years. The previous models were in-room speakers.
