Wayne, N.J. – JVC recently announced a series of promotional activities planned to support its lines of “quad-proof” (water, shock, dust, cold) Adixxion and Everio camcorders.
Promotional activities will include a providing Adixxion cameras for activies with K2 Sports, a TV sponsorship targeting outdoor enthusiasts, providing cameras to an AirBnB-sponosored film, and participation in one of the country’s largest snow sports trade shows, the company said.
The JVC/K2 Sports arrangement will equip K2 snow sports athletes with JVC’s GC-XA2 Adixxion action camera and its new all-weather Everio camcorders to create footage for an ongoing series to appear on websites and social-media pages.
JVC is also working with “Outfitters Guide Television,” a show that caters to hunters and outdoorsmen. The show will use JVC cameras to shoot portions of its 13 episodes, which involve professional hunters and guides taking viewers who have won their “dream” adventure.
In addition to including scenes shot with JVC cameras, each episode will include a JVC Adixxion Adventure Cam feature segment where the winning viewer shares his experiences.
The arrangement with the Airbnb online accommodations marketplace involved the use of handle-bar-mounted JVC Adixxion cameras for “Baja and Back,” a motorcycle documentary by Dillinger/Ackermania Creative.
JVC partnered with Dillinger/Ackermania Creative on a series sponsored in part by Airbnb, about a group taking a motorcycle tour of Mexico with visits to Airbnb sites along the way.
The Addixion camera was the official adventure camera on a Dillinger/Ackermania production sponsored in part by Airbnb.
Later this month, JVC will be in Denver for the 2014 SIA Snow Show, one of more than 900 brands in attendance, all part of the snow sports market. JVC will demonstrate its Adixxion and Everio action cams for attendees.
