Nashua, N.H. — Jabra introduced a scaled-down version of its Solemate portable Bluetooth speaker, known as the Solemate Mini.
It also updated the original Solemate speaker to include nearfield communications (NFC) pairing and an accompanied app.
The Solemate Mini, which will retail for a suggested $99.99, will be offered in the fourth quarter in yellow, black, red or blue. It features the same rubberized, durable design as its larger sibling and carries an eight-hour battery life. The Mini measures 4.9 inches by 2.1 by 2.4 inches.
The full-sized Solemate speaker, now with NFC, will be sold in red, blue, yellow and gray starting in the fourth quarter. Suggested retail is $149. The company has launched the Jabra Sound App with Dolby Digital Plus sound to be used with the speaker, said to provide “extra depth and dimension” to the music.
The Solemate measures 6.77 inches by 2.52 inches by 2.75 inches.
Both Bluetooth speakers come with a detachable cable for use with 3.5mm audio devices.
