iON Adds Action Cam App, Remote Module

San Francisco – Action video camera resource iON Worldwide recently introduced an Android app for its Wi-Fi-equipped Air Pro line of high-definition action sports wearable video cameras.

iON also announced that renowned snowboarders Eero Ettala and Eric Jackson, Olympic snowboarder Scotty Lago and free skier Nick Goepper have signed on as new members of Team iON, and will be sharing videos shot using their iON Air Pro cameras from iON sponsored events including the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships taking place in Breckenridge, CO, Dec. 13-16.

The new iON Android app is available now to remotely control key functions – including start, stop, recording, change camera modes, check battery life and more – on any iON Air Pro Camera equipped with the Wi-Fi PODZ

Meanwhile, the company will release on Nov. 15 a Remote PODZ module on the iON online store. When attached to the back of the Air Pro camera, the Remote PODZ controls up to eight Air Pro cameras, adding virtually no weight or volume. The company said the new PODZ allows bicyclists, surfers, skiiers and all other iON camera enthusiasts to capture multiple angles of any action scene

The iON Remote PODZ joins the Wi-Fi PODZ in extending the basic capabilities of the Air Pro family of cameras.

“Our new Remote PODZ accessory and the availability of the Android app allow us to extend the ‘shoot and share’ capabilities of our basic Air Pro line even further. We aim to make available the most extensive family of action sports cameras and accessories on the market, with something for everyone,” explained Giovanni Tomaselli, iON worldwide CEO.
