HTC Revenues Still Shrinking

Taoyuan, Taiwan – Revenues at smartphone market HTC continued to decline in January and February following double-digit sales declines in fiscal 2012.

 January sales fell 6.5 percent compared with the year-ago month to NT$15.5 billion ($522.8 million), followed by a February year-over-year decline of 44 percent to NT$11.4 billion ($384.5 million).

 For the year to date, revenues are off 27 percent to NT$26.9 billion ($907.3 million).

 During the fourth quarter, revenues fell at a double-digit rate for the fourth consecutive quarter.

Currencies were converted at a rate of NT$29.65 $ to $1 U.S.
