West Chester, Ohio — Escort entered a new category this month with the launch of its MediaFlair portable Wi-Fi streaming accessory.
Designed to act a personal wireless hub for sharing content, the MediaFlair allows content stored on an SD card to be shared via Wi-Fi with up to five friends, once all have downloaded the free accompanying app. The app, which is compatible with Apple, Android and Kindle devices, allows the friends to actually download the files to their own portable devices.
The device has a $99.95 suggested retail and comes with an 8GB SD card. It measures 3.3 inches by 2.3 inches by 0.5 inches. Battery life is listed at four hours.
When asked what led Escort to enter this category, a spokesman told TWICE, “As always, we are continually innovating — and that innovation includes finding the most current and the most powerful products, services and tools to help better the lives of both our current customers and new.
