Long Beach, Calif. – Epson America introduced today one of its brightest home theater projectors to date.
The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 730HD ($649 suggested retail) is billed as a 720p 3LCD projector, designed to perform well in both dark rooms and those with some ambient light.
The Home Cinema 730HD outputs up to 3,000 lumens of color brightness and 3,000 lumens of white brightness. It also includes built-in sound, allowing temporary backyard placements.
It is also ideal for playing video games on screens up to 300-inches – indoors or out, the company said.
“The affordable Home Cinema 730HD offers big and bright HD experience ideal not only for movie-viewing in the living room, but its compact design, built-in sound and easy set up makes it great for just about anywhere – even outdoors,” said Jason Palmer, Epson America marketing manager. “Whether you are playing video games in the man cave or watching TV in a well-lit room, the Home Cinema 750HD offers incredible big screen entertainment. In addition, users can choose from four different color modes to ensure the best possible quality and color.”
The projector offers an assortment of easy setup features and automatically corrects images vertically while providing an easy-slide control bar for horizontal image correction.
The projector also has four pre-set color modes, including a special color mode dedicated to gaming.
The Home Cinema 730HD is housed in a white, compact cabinet.
Performance features include: a 1.2x optical zoom lens for positioning flexibility, automatic vertical keystone (+/- 30 degrees) correction, and Instant Off that allows for no waiting time to start or shut-down the projector.
Connectivity options include component video, S-video, HDMI, and USB Type A and B, and USB 2.0 to share photos and slideshows.
The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 730HD ($649 MSRP) will be available in early September through select retailers nationwide and the Epson online store.
Epson backs the projector with a two-year limited warranty with toll-free access to Epson’s PrivateLine priority technical support, 90-day limited lamp warranty, and free two-business-day exchange with Extra Care Home Service.
