Fort Worth, Texas – Edifier has added to its tabletop speaker lineup with the e10 Exclaim active bi-amplified 2.0 speaker system for use with a PC, TV, or mobile device.

The $99 speaker pair comes with 3.5mm auxiliary cable to connect to audio sources.

The system features DSP (digital signal processing) and DRC (dynamic range compensation) to provide tonal balance t any volume setting and minimize distortion, the company said.

Each biamplified speaker features three active drivers, with a tweeter and midrange appearing in a narrow vertical enclosure that is attached to a sphere that houses a woofer and acts as a speaker stand. Each speaker is driven by its own 18-watt internal amp to deliver a total of 36 watts RMS power output. Each speaker also incorporates a passive radiator to deepen bass response from the woofer and a separate passive radiator in the midrange/tweeter enclosure to raise efficiency and dynamic range, the company said.

Volume and power/standby controls are located on the side of the master speaker unit.

The speaker is available at Edifier’s web store.

The Beijing-based speaker company sells tabletop Bluetooth speaker systems, iPod/iPhone-docking speaker systems, and multimedia speaker systems priced up to $599.  It products are available in the U.S. though such online retailers as OfficeMax, Best Buy, Target, Crate and Barrel, Apple, and Skymall.
