Murrieta, Calif. — ECBC this afternoon will announce the availability of two new pieces of rolling luggage with built-in rechargeable battery packs to recharge devices on the go.
The ECBC Sparrow rolling garment bag and the Falcon rolling duffle both feature TSA-compliant high-density foam FastPass compartments for laptops and tablets and 4,500 mAh charging units.
The Sparrow is a 22-inch tear-resistant ballistic nylon bag with a fold-out section for dress clothes on hangers; a zippered pocket for a laptop up to 15 inches; and pockets for a tablet, smartphone and power cords.
The Falcon is a duffle-style top-closing bag with the same lineup of device pockets, and it adds 2 inches of expandability for overstuffing, as well as YKK zippers, interior compression straps and a water-repellant finish. A 26-inch (medium) and a 30-inch (large) model are available.
Both bags have impact-resistant skid plates.
The Sparrow has a suggested retail of $399. The Falcon is $349 for the medium and $399 for the large.
The bags will be available for presale later today on ECBC’s website. The company is offering a 30 percent discount and free shipping, using the promo code “luggage30” if orders are placed by Aug. 11. The bags will ship the week of Aug. 12.
