Mahwah, N.J. — Denon Electronics has launched a microsite that lets consumers “virtually try on” the company’s headphones.

Visitors to the VisYoualize Yourself site can upload a photograph or use their webcam to see what they will look like wearing the Music Maniac, Urban Raver, Globe Cruiser or Exercise Freak headphones.

The site is said to use facial-mapping technology. Screen shots can be shared on Facebook and other social-networking sites.

Denon is launching a free mobile app that does the same thing, as well as lets users sync and display their VisYoualized image with their personal music library on their device.
