Mahwah, N.J. — Denon added six models to its budding headphones brand this week.
The new additions, all currently shipping, are designed as lower-priced options for the lifestyle brand, the company said. The additions include two Music Maniac models and four Urban Ravers.
The Music Maniac models include the on-ear AH-D340 ($299 suggested retail) and in-ear AH-C250 ($249). The new Urban Ravers will come in a choice of two new color designs for the on-ear versions ($199), and two new in-ear color designs ($99.99).
Both Music Maniac headphones feature a flat EQ. The on-ear AH-D340 headphones have 40mm drivers, ear cups that articulate 360 degrees, pentagon-shaped memory-foam ear pads, and in-line iOS-compatible mic and controls on a 3-foot cable. The in-ear AH-C250 have single balanced-armature drivers in zinc die-cast housings, and Teflon-coated cables with iOS in-line mic and controls. Five different tips and a leather carrying case are included.
For the Urban Ravers line, the on-ear models will come in black with red (AH-D320RD) or black with blue (AH-D320BU). They have 40mm drivers and the company’s control-wheel design on the ear cups, which can also articulate 360 degrees. A carry pouch is included.
The in-ear Urban Ravers (AH-C100RD in red and AH-C100BU in blue) have 11mm drivers, iOS in-line mic and controls, and four choices of ear tips, including Comply.
All of Denon’s headphones are accompanied by dedicated apps that are designed to enhance the usability of the devices.
