Washington — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) held the annual CES On The Hill event at the Rayburn Office Building, here, Tuesday night.
The event featured more than 25 manufacturers showing a wide variety of CE products that debuted at International CES in January, and is designed to showcase, in the words of CEA president/CEO Gary Shapiro, “the innovation of the consumer electronics industry.” They are also being presented to members of Congress and their staffers.
Among some of the notable products featured was Voxx International’s Klipsch Music Center 3 wireless music system and its Klipsch Image One Bluetooth headphones.
BlackBerry showed its Z10 smartphone and the Q10 smartphone, which is available for preorder in Canada and the United Kingdom now.

The main product on display at the LG Electronics booth was its 84-inch UltraTV set with 8 million pixels and FullHD resolution.
Samsung highlighted its series 8000 LED smart TV and Samsung For Enterprise (SAFE) mobile security built into its Samsung Galaxy S-III and Note-II mobile phones.
Panasonic showed its new 4K tablet with a 20-inch LED LCD panel that, according to Peter Fannon, corporate and government affairs VP, is designed for “medical, educational and photography markets,” as well as for artists. It will run Windows 8 and will be available this fall at “an appealing price point.” When asked if it would be available for the consumer market, Fannon quipped, “Why not?”
