Miami – Brightstar, a distributor of cellular products and services, has acquired mobile e-tailer and master agent LetsTalk.com.
The deal gives Brightstar entrée into the retail market, and will allow it to offer LetsTalk’s custom e-commerce and activation services to its more than 100,000 manufacturer, operator, retail and enterprise customers.
Founded in 1999, LetsTalk provides activation services to leading U.S. carriers and provides e-commerce services to top retailers and manufacturers. The company also operates “white-label” websites for national retailers that offer connected products to consumers.
Going forward, LetsTalk will be rebranded as Consensus, and David Stritzinger, formerly Brightstar’s chief technology officer, will serve as its president. The company will remain headquartered in San Francisco.
“Wireless retailers are seeking ways to deliver a consistent, customer-centric experience, and until now there has not been a solution that ties all of their channels together,” said Brightstar CEO Marcelo Claure. “Integrating LetsTalk’s offerings into Brightstar’s existing retail service offering allows us to deliver a fully-integrated solution to our customers, which in turn will provide a seamless and superior omni-channel experience for consumers.”
