Boost Prices Its First iPhones

Irvine, Calif.—Sprint prepaid brand Boost Mobile divulged more details about its iPhone launch.

The company priced the iPhone 5s, 5c and iPhone 4 and specified that initial distribution will be through the company’s website and select independent stores that sell only Boost service.

The Sprint-owned no-contract brand didn’t say when, or if, the devices would be rolled out to other distribution channels. “We are exploring further distribution as we are sure demand will be high for these devices,” a spokesperson told TWICE.

With the launch, Boost will offer an iPhone for the first time, joining sister prepaid brand Virgin Mobile, which is offering the three iPhones and has offered iPhones in the past.

Boost, which previously announced Nov. 8 iPhone availability, priced the iPhone 5s at $549 for the 16GB model, $649 for the 32GB model, and $749 for the 64GB model. The iPhone 5c will be available at $449 for the 16GB model and $549  for the 32GB model. In addition, the iPhone 4s will be available for $299. The 5s and 5c are LTE-equipped

Boost does not currently offer financing plans for its customers and does not plan to offer iPhone financing despite the phones’ high cost, a spokesperson said. Sister prepaid brand Virgin Mobile offers a six-month no-interest financing plan on unsubsidized iPhones as well as an interest-accruing financing plan with 20 percent interest rate.

Boost Mobile devices are available nationwide at almost 20,000 major retail stores, including Best Buy, RadioShack, Target, Walgreens and Walmart, Sprint retail stores, independent wireless dealer locations, and on HSN. Re-Boost cards are available at about 100,000 locations throughout the United States.
