Bob Cole Joins PRO Group Board

Fort Worth, Texas – Bob Cole, president of A/V specialty dealer World Wide Stereo, has been named a director of the Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO Group), the 14-member buying group.

In a statement, PRO president/COO Dave Workman said, “We are pleased to have Bob Cole join the board of PRO Group and welcome his experience and insight as we further develop our group’s competitive positioning in the ever changing world of CE retailing.”

Added Cole: “I am delighted to join the board of one of the leading buying groups within the CE channel. I look forward to working with PRO Group as they continue to grow and expand into new products and market sectors.”

Cole joins current PRO Group directors Walt Stinson of ListenUp, Rick Souder of Crutchfield, Leon Temiz of Electronics Expo, Rachelle Friedman of J&R Music and Computer World, Bjorn Dybdahl of Bjorn’s Audio Video, and Murray Huppin of Huppin’s/OneCall.

PRO Group, together with sister buying group Home Entertainment Source (HES), comprises the $3.1 billion ProSource cooperative, which in turn is a division of the BrandSource buying group.

The organizations and their independent dealer members will convene this weekend at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for BrandSource’s bi-annual convention and expo.
