Chester Springs, Pa. — Azione Unlimited (AU), the buying and educational group for custom retailers and integrators, has grown its membership to 70 with the additions of Reef Radio Electronics (RRE) and Bethesda Systems.
Reef Radio was formed in 1989 to provide the latest and best in entertainment technology to residents of the private Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., and to those throughout the Florida Keys. “Joining Azione Unlimited is the next step in RRE’s development so we can not only enjoy the benefits of engaging with some of the best minds in the industry, but also work in a cooperative environment that brings value to all the partners,” said VP Brian Hagman.
Ten-year-old Bethesda Systems, located just outside Washington, D.C., sells and services custom entertainment and control products, and is committed to the growth of green technology by integrating the latest advancements in LED lighting, automation and energy management for both residential and commercial applications.
Co-owner Michael Wilson said Bethesda joined Azione out of fondness for its president and founder Richard Glikes, “who has a knack of balancing what is best for both dealers and vendors ... a perfect recipe for a healthy buying group.” The company also sought to network directly with “the best of the progressive-minded systems integrators and manufacturers in the custom industry,” Wilson said.
Commented Glikes: “We continue to add high-caliber dealers to our team. Brick by brick we are building a powerhouse organization. Our dealers are bonding, our vendors are happy, life is good.”
Upcoming AU events include a June 25 webinar, “How to Make ‘Millions’ Selling High Performance Theaters,” presented by Eric Thies, president of DSI Entertainment Systems and George Walter, home cinema VP at Digital Projection. AU is also finalizing plans for its fall team-building conference in New Orleans Sept. 10-12.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
