Denver – Archos will begin shipping in June its kitchen-friendly ChefPad tablet.
The 9.7-inch tablet, $209, is a conventional Android 4.1 tablet tricked out with a splash-resistance silicon case and stand. Bundled onboard is Chef Apps Selection, which filters through apps to find those best suited for cooking tips, shopping and recipes.
The tablet is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor and has 8MB of internal storage, 1GB of memory, and 2-megapixel front and back cameras.
When not being used in the kitchen the ChefPad can be used as a regular tablet for web surfing or video playback, the company said.
