Cupertino, Calif. – Apple is expanding its iPad selection with a 128GB version of its fourth-generation iPad with Wi-Fi and the fourth-generation Wi-Fi + Cellular model.

Apple said it expects the higher storage capacity to help it make inroads to enterprises that regularly use large amounts of data for such things as 3D CAD files, X-rays, film edits, music tracks, project blueprints, training videos and service manuals.

The 128GB versions will be available Feb. 5 in black or white at a suggested $799 for the iPad with Wi-Fi model and $929 for the iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular model. All versions will be available through the Apple Online Store (, Apple retail stores, and select Apple Authorized Resellers.

The price of current fourth-generation iPads range from $499 to $699 for the three Wi-Fi models, and $629 to $829 for the three 4G LTE models. Storage capacities are 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Those 9.7-inch models with Retina displays were launched late last year and, compared to their predecessors, feature two-times faster processor (A6x), two times faster Wi-Fi incorporating two-band 802.11n, front camera upgraded to 720p, and an LTE chipset that adds compatibility with the U.S. Sprint network.
