Alcatel One Touch Expands Distribution Of 2 Phones

Irvine, Calif. — Chinese vendor Alcatel One Touch expanded distribution of its Fierce and Evolve Android smartphones to T-Mobile’s MetroPCS brand, having made the duo available to T-Mobile in October.

MetroPCS priced them at $99 and $59, respectively. Both lack 4G LTE.

The One Touch Fierce is a 4G HSPA+ Android 4.2 phone with 4.5-inch qHD display and 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor. The Evolve features 3G HSPA, Android 4.1, 1GHz MediaTek CPU, 4-inch WVGA display, 4GB memory, 5-megapixel main camera with 720p video capture and front-facing VGA camera.

The Evolve became available Oct. 16 through T-Mobile’s stores and indirect retailers, excluding national chains. The Fierce becomes available Oct. 23 through the same channels.

Through national retailers, T-Mobile’s Evolve became available through Walmart and Best Buy earlier in October and later became available through Target. T-Mobile’s Fierce became available earlier in October through Walmart, Best Buy and Target.
