Canfield, Ohio – Albert “Al’ Joseph Gallo, Jr., principal of The Sound Shop, died yesterday at the age of 61.

According to the Youngstown News, Gallo founded the specialty A/V dealer and system integrator in 1978 after working his way up the ranks at Hills Department Store.

Along with his wife and partner Pat, Gallo sold and installed premium home theater products and residential and commercial automation and control services from their lone 5,000-square-foot showroom. His designs and installations earned the couple nine Awards of Excellence from the local Home Builders Association, as listed on the company’s website.

Services will be held at the Higgins Reardon Funeral Home in Boardman-Canfield, Ohio on Sunday and Monday.
