Airflex5D-60 Adds High-Value Projector Stacking

Cerritos, Calif., — Airflex5D, a sister company of Elite Screens specializing in multi-projector stacking processors, has introduced the Airflex5D-60 in time for the upcoming Infocomm show in Orlando, Fla., June 12-14.

Airflex5D’s 2D/3D multi-projector stacking processors are designed to precisely align images of multiple standard projectors into one single picture with professional-level amplified brightness.

The company said that by stacking standard grade projectors, the combined output can be harnessed to match the brightness of high-dollar commercial projectors.

The Airflex5D-60 model can combine the output of two to three standard grade projectors and adds edge-blending for creating video walls or geometric correction for curved or dome screen applications.

An optional kit provides professional theater-grade passive 3D performance in either a circular or linear format. Lenses and glasses are included.

The AirFlex5D-60 Series is now available through the AirFlex5D LLC EPV custom install integrator/pro A/V channels at a $4,999 or $5,999 suggested retail price, for the full 3D package.

An optional (linear or circular) passive 3D kit allows cinematic 3D quality at a value price point. Each unit comes with AirFlex5D two-year manufacturer’s limited warranty.

The Airflex5D-60’s proprietary Q-Stack technology aligns multiple projectors down to the pixel for advanced brightness with clear imaging.

It accommodates up to a 1920-by-1200 projector resolution with dual-channel geometric image correction while supporting de-interlacing, scaling and image enhancement, Airflex5D said.

A Video Wall feature allows splitting, cropping, and magnifying, projected images. This includes Matrox VGA, Video Wall + Flat Screen Edge Blending.

The company said its Airflex5D-60 “opens doors for integrators to create new market opportunities where they did not exist before.”

Such professional grade performance was previously priced beyond the reach of most small business or residential customers. The new system is said to enable integrators “to save bids and offer more enticing product bundles to their customers. A simple package with superior brightness, versatility and theater-grade passive 3D performance is essential for a video integrator’s competitive edge.”
