San Jose, Calif. — Adobe today released an update to Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC) that gives the photo-editing software 3D printing capabilities.
The update allows user to build, refine, preview and print 3D designs. This includes letting 3D designers create objects from scratch or change existing 3D models, the company said.
“With the huge adoption of Adobe Photoshop CC, this announcement means that a massive influx of people will now have access to 3D modeling tools,” said Bre Pettis, CEO of 3D printer manufacturer MakerBot.
The 3D update will become available immediately for Creative Cloud members; subscriptions costs $9.99 per month.
