Abary Joins Samsung

Ridgefield Park, N.J. – Longtime Sony executive Michael Abary has been appointed consumer IT product marketing senior VP at Samsung Electronics America, the company announced Thursday.

Abary joins Samsung with more than 20 years in the industry, having spent the last decade at Sony, where he led several product groups including PCs, tablets and e-readers.

He most recently led strategic alliances with such partners as Google, Microsoft and Intel as the business and corporate development senior VP.

Abary also spent nine years at Synnex in various sales and product management roles. Abary holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State University and studied advanced global leadership through the Executive Education program at UCLA Anderson School of Business.
