Ann Arbor, Mich. - Brandmotion has begun shipping a universal backup-camera kit.

 

 

The 9002-7601 camera kit comes with multiple mounting options, allowing users to attach a camera to the top of a license plate or to any vertical or horizontal surface. The camera has a 170-degree viewing angle and can connect to a video display via a composite connection.

 

 

Features include a CMOS sensor, a 420 resolution and a minimum illumination of 0.5 lux. The displayed image can be overlaid with colored parking lines that show the proximity to a potential hazard as the vehicle moves backward, Brandmotion said, and the image can also be reversed for front-of-vehicle applications or video screen compatibility. Both of these options are selectable during installation.
