A quick look around the just opened Flatbush, Brooklyn location of
Las Vegas — Rockford Fosgate will go to International CES with more than 40 new car amplifiers, speakers, and factory-integration and application-specific products to round out the brand’s Power-, Punch- and Prime-series products.
The lineup will include the first 2-ohm single-voice-coil subwoofers in the Punch series. They’re designed to maximize the output of Rockford Fosgate’s mono-block amplifiers.
The new subs are the 200-watt RMS 8-inch P1S2-8 at $99, 10-inch 250-watt P1S2-10 at $109, 12-inch 250-watt P1S2-12 at $119, and 12-inch 250-watt P1S2-15 15-inch at $159. They ship in late January.
The subs need “minimal input power in order to deliver award winning sound quality and deep, full bass at an even more impressive price point,” said Jake Braaten, director of new product development. “Adding these four 2-ohm models to our existing P1-series 4-ohm models makes Punch the most well-rounded and affordable sub series available.”
Flexible mounting and protection options include removable and reversible screw-concealing rings, cosmetically matching trim ring, and a design that lets the woofer be mounted either in an inset position or inverted position to create a finished look. Optional integrated hexagonal grilles are available.
