LAS VEGAS – LaCie will introduce three new storage devices this week, including a limited edition Blade Runner hard drive.

The Blade Runner was created in collaboration with designer Philippe Starck and the company plans to have a production run of just 9,999 custom-built models. The 4TB unit marks the 20th anniversary of the LaCie-Starck partnership.

The Blade Runner is now available at the LaCie online store and specialty retailers with a $319 street price.

LaCie is also introducing the 5big Thunderbolt Series HDD. It is a five-bay drive with a 20TB capacity and data transfer speeds of 785MB per second. This speed is attained via a 7,200rpm disc working in conjunction with a 64MB flash drive.

The drive can operate in either a RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration and with its dual Thunderbolt ports up to six of the drives can be daisy-chained together.

Pricing has not been set, but the drive will soon be available at LaCie’s online store. A Thunderbolt cable will be provided with purchase.

The other new product line is the 5big NAS Pro. Like the 5big Thunderbolt, it features five drive bays and will come in three configurations, one with no installed drives along with a 10TB model and 20TB. Pricing has not been set. It will ship this quarter.

The 5big NAS is targeted at small businesses and comes with a 100GB free trial of LaCie’s Wuala Business Secured Cloud Storage service.
