Darrel Becomes Logitech CEO

By Lisa Johnston On Jan 2 2013 - 2:26pm

Newark, Calif. — Logitech International announced Bracken P. Darrell has become CEO of the company.

He succeeds Guerrino De Luca, who remains chairman of the board. The move was previously planned as part of an “executive leadership transition” when Darrell joined the company in April 2012.

Darrel came to Logitech from Whirlpool, where he was executive VP of Whirlpool Corporation and president of Whirlpool EMEA. Logitech spent most of 2012 attempting to right its financial woes, including implementing restructuring and workforce reductions.

It will hold a webcast for its next quarterly financial results on Jan. 24.
