Arlington, Va. – The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has set the dates for its CES on the Hill and Patriot’s Dinner April 16 and 17 in Washington D.C.
CES on the Hill is an invitation-only event produced by CEA and will be held on at the nation’s capital on April 16.
CES on the Hill provides policymakers the opportunity to interact with technology companies and the products they have developed, according to CEA.
New for this year, CEA said it will have a dedicated showcase area for exhibitors from the Eureka Park TechZone at the 2013 International CES focused on startups and entrepreneurs.
Members of Congress, key Hill staff and local media will experience the innovative technologies at the center of today’s policy debates, CEA said.
Also, the ninth annual Digital Patriots Dinner on April 17 will honor the year’s foremost industry and policy leaders behind “cutting-edge technology and the legal and regulatory framework that allows the CE industry to flourish,” CEA remarked in a statement.
The CES on the Hill event will be held on April 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rayburn House Office Building Cafeteria (B-357), Independence Avenue and South Capitol Street in Washington.
The Digital Patriots Dinner will be held the following evening from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Ave, NW, in Washington.
Proceeds from the Digital Patriots Dinner will be donated to Bright Beginnings and the CEA Foundation. Bright Beginnings is a nationally-accredited child and family development center that provides comprehensive educational, therapeutic, health and family service programs for homeless families with young children.
The CEA Foundation is a national foundation with the mission to link seniors and people with disabilities with technologies to enhance their lives. Focused on strategic support of programs to impact these communities, the foundation launched its first series of grants in 2012, CEA said.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
