Sandra Schulze, 60

EDEN PRAIRIE, MINN.— Sandra Jeanne Schulze, 60, wife of Best Buy founder and chairman Dick Schulze, died June 22 of mesothelioma, an asbestos-related cancer.

Mrs. Schulze founded Best Buy with her husband in 1966, and helped it become the largest consumer electronics retailer in the country. She initiated the Schulze Family Foundation in 1995 to assist Best Buy employees during times of crisis.

She is survived by her husband, four children, including Best Buy executive Susan Hoff, five grandchildren, her mother and three brothers.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be sent in her memory to: Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF), 1609 Garder St., Santa Barbara, CA 93101.
