Hirschmann Bows Hands-Free Mobile Phone Kits

Staff -- TWICE, 6/25/2001

PINE BROOK, N.J.— Hirschmann is offering Dialog+, a new series of hard-wired hands-free mobile phone systems for cars.

First offerings from the company are two kits — one for the Nokia 5100, 6100, 7100 series phones and another for the Nokia 8290 and 8890 phones. The latter is among the first mounted hands-free kits available for these Nokia phones, said the company.

The systems, which are said to integrate seamlessly into an auto's electronics system and provide a high level of safety and convenience, deliver extraordinary microphone sensitivity and speaker fidelity for crystal-clear conversations, said Hirschmann.

Dialog+ has a suggested $198 retail and features radio mute, private mode and a timer controlled switch-off so drivers can keep conversation going while keeping their hands on the wheel.
